Student opposes MP3 downloadsI was amazed by Muhammad Mirza's letter defending the "right" to download MP3s. Banning MP3s has nothing whatsoever to do with a student's privacy; it has to do with students using University resources, which are provided for educational purposes, to illegally retrieve files for their own entertainment. If Mr. Mirza would like to pay for his own computer and his own Internet connection not affiliated with Purdue and use those to download MP3s or anything else, that's his business, but it is absurd to say that he has any right to use University resources for illegal activities.
