Reader defends 'Greed' tryoutsI'd like to take a second here to discuss the irrational attitudes of the two freshmen who were cut from the tryouts for "Greed." (March 9, Exponent letter) I'm sorry that you guys didn't even make it to the first round, but the truth of the matter is that you should have just come earlier and waited in line. Let's be honest how often does a TV show of that nature come to Purdue and recruit? You two should have expected a large turnout and accommodated for it. I was the fifth person in line and although I didn't make it to the second round, I wish the best of luck for my three close friends who did. The questions were challenging and the tryouts did exactly what they were supposed to filter out the best of the best. Shyam Sriram junior, School of Liberal Arts |
