Man robs woman at walk-up ATM

A 23-year-old Purdue woman was robbed at a walk-up ATM Sunday afternoon on Northwestern Avenue.

According to police reports, a man followed the woman into the inside walk-up Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union ATM on Northwestern Avenue and demanded money. The suspect had his hand in his pocket and indicated he had a weapon, police said.

Following the robbery, in which the female was not hurt but lost an undisclosed amount of money, the man headed south on his bicycle down Northwestern.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his mid- to late 20’s, about 5 foot 10 and 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, and a pair of dark sunglasses.
