Fan praises Cardinal's effortI view the Purdue men's basketball team as a constant wonder. They have no single player on the team that I thought could lead them "all the way." But a solid contribution from all the guys has given me another thought: "How far can they go?" OBSERVATION: The clock seems to go slowly when Purdue has the lead and faster when they're down. OBSERVATION: Cardinal is a scrapper after a coach's own heart. He is also a leader. He plays hard and gets the job done, bleeding and setting records as he goes. Recent articles though have painted him as a "bully" and the "ringleader." They say he's the "most hated player in the Big Ten." But here's the thing: It's not because he's a mean player but because even when his game is off he's making things happen. The other team still has to keep up with the Boilers. Citizen Pain refers to what he endures, not what he dishes out. Watch game footage- time after time there's Cardinal, sticking out a hand to help an opponent up from the floor. A true gentleman. Good job Brian Cardinal and GO BOILERS!
