An open letter to the students of Purdue: Thanks so very much for dishonoring the basketball team's achievement Thursday night with that classless display of destruction and boorish behavior. If you want to act like that, I recommend you transfer to Michigan State.

Show a little pride and celebrate in style. Huge crowds cheering and blocking traffic is one thing, but when fires are lit, and public property is destroyed you damage the reputation of Purdue and every person who ever attended, past or present.

Show a little respect and class next time, and let the nation see from Indianapolis next weekend that Purdue is not loaded with mindless adolescents.
