Long Center to host annual Crisis Center Benefit ConcertFrom Staff Reports The Long Center for the Performing Arts, located at 111 N. Sixth St. in Lafayette, will be hosting its 16th annual Crisis Center Benefit Concert Saturday night. The concert will feature Bloomington, Ind., native folk and rock singer Carrie Newcomer, as well as an opening act of Tim Grimm. Cheryl Ubelhor, the executive director of the Crisis Center, said this year's concert will be a little different because Newcomer will have a piano accompanying her during her performance. She said that there will also be refreshments and goodies for people to purchase during the intermission. Ubelhor said that around 800 people usually show up for the event. Tickets are $12 and the concert begins at 8 p.m. |
