Purdue neglects student safety

A single McDonald’s restaurant uses more salt for its fries than Purdue uses all winter to remove ice from streets and sidewalks. I am tired of walking on sidewalks that are partially iced and partially plowed. All snow from sidewalks should be removed on heavy traffic areas. Salt should be used as needed on stairs, steps and icy spots. Purdue received more than one billion dollars last year, yet it remains negligent when it comes to student health. Restrooms in residence halls are not cleaned on weekends. Vomit, urine and feces can remain all weekend to make people sick. It's time Purdue became accountable for all of us.
