Family holds funeral for
Purdue student
From Staff Reports
Funeral services will be held on Friday for a Purdue
student that was found dead in her West Lafayette apartment on Monday.
The West Lafayette Police Department found Laura
M. Williams, 21, of 434 N. Grant St. Apt. 1, dead in her bedroom at
11:35 a.m. Monday.
On Monday, Williams' roommates became concerned
and called police because they could not contact her through her locked
bedroom door.
Williams' roommates last saw her late Sunday afternoon
after she said she did not feel well and was going to her bedroom to
rest.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday
at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home at 517 Broadway in Chesterton, Ind.
The visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on
Thursday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, with a rosary service
at 6:30 p.m.
Tippecanoe County coroner Martin Avolt said the
death is still being investigated after he completed an autopsy and
toxicology report on Williams on Tuesday. Avolt said he had no comment
on the cause of death; however, further information will be released
in 10 days to two weeks, once the results of the toxicology report are
available.
