Drinks bring flavor to BowlBy Nate Cross Are you looking for some drinks to help spice up your Super Bowl party? While you are watching the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens clash on the field you could be sipping on some exotic and themed drinks put together to help you feel like you're in Florida at the game. Virgin DrinksAloha Fruit punchIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Add 1/4 cup water to ginger root. Boil 3 minutes. Strain. Add the liquid to the guava, lemon and pineapple juices. Make a syrup of sugar and remaining water. Cool. Combine with juices and pineapple. Chill throroughly.
Fruit and Sherbet PunchIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Just mix all the liquids together, and float the sherbert in the punch just before serving.
Pink Panther ShakeIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Place all ingredients in a blender. Mix until smooth
Drinks with Alcohol (to be consumed only by people 21 and over)Baltimore ZooIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Add the liquors and grenadine. Mix. Strain. Add splash of Sprite. Add lemon squeeze. Drinker adds shot of beer.
Baltimore BracerIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
New York LemonadeIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Serve in a chilled cocktail glass. Lemon and sugar the rim. Stir and Strain.
New York SourIngredients:
Mixing instructions:Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Float claret on top. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon and the cherry and serve. FROZEN MARGARITAS Ingredients:
Mixing instructions: Rub rim of glasses with lime wedges and swirl glass in salt to coat rim. Combine half of each of the remaining ingredients in blender container; process until ice is finely chopped and mixture is slushy. Pour into glasses. Repeat. Garnish with lime slices. Variation: For strawberry margaritas, add fresh or frozen strawberries to blender.
