Couples should go out with friendsI am saddened by Brian Dillons attitude toward love in his Friday Exponent column. Obviously it is coming from a man that has yet to find anything for himself. But could it be due to your continual visits to the bars on campus, hoping to find Miss Right? If so you are in for a long haul. How about your attitude about people in love? Any self-respecting woman will not find your pessimistic attitude attractive at all. If your friends are moving on in life, and you feel that you are being left behind ... sorry. Why not get off your butt, and ask the new couple to dinner or some other activity to introduce your friend's newfound love to the "whole gang?" It does take time to wear off those stars in their eyes and for them to come back to reality. When they realize that there is a fine balance between lovers and friends, he/she will start with those from the past. When your bud does call, don't alienate him; include him in your activities. You will find that he will cherish your friendship much more when you do. As far as your distaste for those who are whipped, well you don't know what you are missing. I have to admit, I have been "whipped" for almost four years now. Through it all I can still say that I always enjoy my time with my friends. Victoria Layton
