'Sanctity of life' deserves respect

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart" (Jeremiah 1:5). With reference to the recent anniversary of Roe v. Wade, over 40 million babies have been slaughtered in the US. It is tragic to note that the greatest Holocaust didn't happen in WWII, but is happening before our very eyes. This time the most innocent life is condemned to death and denied a right to exist. It is also sad to note that there has been massive desensitization to the realities by the clever use of terms like 'a woman's right to choose', 'freedom,' etc. The sanctity of life must be respected, this genocide must stop. Life begins at fertilization. Presently a debate over the death penalty is raging while the topic of abortion is suppressed by powerful forces. Our culture and government must respect life. Many countries are guilty of shedding innocent blood. A hand that sheds innocent blood is one of the seven great abominations before the Lord. (Proverbs 6:16,17)
