Protestors waste time, resourcesI see that once again we are graced by happy protestors against sweatshops on the front page of our beloved Exponent (Feb. 2). You protestors inspire me like none other to sit down and write my thoughts as a letter to the editor. Out of curiosity, do any of you have classes? I think you have spent more time loitering around Purdue Memorial Mall and Stewart Center, starving yourselves and beating giant paper swooshes (which I believe to be a waste of paper and trees) with sticks (also a waste of precious trees), than you have spent inside a classroom. Don't get me wrong, I think enslaving children and paying them two and a half cents a day to make shirts is a very bad thing. However, it can't be too bad on the other end because the only people I have seen complain about it are the people here at Purdue. Why is that? Now, where was I? Oh yes. In conclusion, I feel "The Simpsons" is the greatest television show ever. Dean Costakis Sophomore, School of Education |
