Instructors should know English

Perhaps it's time Purdue required professors and teaching assistants to learn English to a certain degree before teaching.

I don't doubt the intelligence of my instructors, but some don't understand people's questions and have a hard time explaining the topics. I'm not saying we should get rid of everyone who doesn't speak exactly like your average American. But if professors can't express their ideas and students can't fully understand what's being said, there's no point in the professors opening their mouths in the first place. Perhaps they could take speech classes while they teach. It certainly couldn't hurt.

This is in no way an attack on my particular professors or TAs.
