Golf team places 13th at invitational

The Purdue men’s golf team finished 13th at The Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.

The Boilermakers finished with a three-round total of 856 — 25 strokes above par. The team shot 290 in the third round to go along with their first-and second-round scores of 293 and 282, respectively.

Purdue's top golfer was Chris Mayson, who finished six strokes over par at 216 (70-72-74) and finished tied for 48th. Junior Lee Williamson finished one stroke behind Mayson with a three-round total of 217 (77-68-72).
