Fire damages house on West State Street

From Staff Reports

A fire was reported at 100 West State St. around 12 a.m. Sunday.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported at this time.

Evidence of a fire included broken windows, ashy remains and a missing roof.

The house that caught on fire is located just behind the Clark's gas station on West State St. The house was legally abandoned, but there was evidence of occupancy, according to West Lafayette firefighter Rick Rouse.
