Death receives excessive coverageI am writing in response to the idiotic March 20 Exponent letter by Mike Swisher regarding his belief that there isn't a God due to the fact that Dale Earnhardt died. One would have to consume many lead paint chips, have a very red neck, and sport a huge mullet. Personally, I didn't understand what the big "fuss" was about when he died. His funeral was on most major television channels! Was his life more important than anyone elses? What determining factor led to him being so famous? He raced around a circle a million times? Big deal. Why would anyone want to do that in the first place? If Mike wants to wear Dale's sweatpants from 1985, that's fine by me; when he wants to denounce God because Dale is dead, it makes me wonder how he got into college in the first place.
