Police investigate license plate thefts

Purdue police are investigating the theft of 26 license plates that were taken from cars over the weekend.

Ronald Fosnaugh, the captain of special services for the Purdue Police, said the plates were found in a stairwell in the McCutcheon Parking Garage on Third Street.

According to a release, the plates represented 23 different states and were found at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday.

Fosnaugh said no arrests have been made. Anyone with additional information can call the Purdue Police at 494-8221.
