| Editor's Note: We have reached our limit of 10 letters related to the Sunday night campus disturbances (aka riots). Vandalism, fires disgrace UniversityWhy is it that so many people have to tear up the University and degrade the Purdue name? I am disgusted by my peers who choose to do that. The Exponent opinion editors are absolutely right: with such shameful behavior coming from the Boilermakers here on campus, we don't deserve to have a national championship. We welcomed home our fabulous women's basketball team with fires, broken windows, other vandalism and utter rudeness. Gosh, thanks Katie Douglas and team. We really have a way of showing our support, don't we? And what about the fact that the riots have made news in the South Bend newspaper? That's a real nice way to show what losers we are, even though many of our students do not act in such a way. But the people who act badly give the rep to the rest of us. Thank you, vandals. Thank you for showing no pride in your school or yourself. Try not to do it next year. Carol Saunders |
