Senators should refrain from lecturing

This letter is a response to the March 27 Exponent column written by Mr. Ridenour and Mr. Slaughter about voting no on the proposed PSG referendum. Indeed, this is to everyone involved with PSG.

First, is this not the same Mr. Ridenour who submitted a bill to ban all fraternities and sororities on the Purdue campus? You, sir, have no place lecturing anyone about the disadvantages of sweeping changes within anything. Yet here it is, a column where you spout the words "illegal" and "unethical" and expect everyone to "ooh" and "ahh" and do your bidding.

Now, this is directed to everyone on PSG. What I just mentioned above is the exact problem with PSG. Its members are people who delude themselves into thinking that their title as a senator or some other member of the student government makes then vital to this University. News Flash: we'd all get along just fine without you, possibly better. I know this because this organization has done nothing for the student body as a whole, and everyone knows it.

I'm not saying anything about the way students should vote, because I don't have enough information to make that decision for myself, much less advise others. But I would like to say to everyone on PSG, especially Mr. Ridenour, stop wasting my time and everyone else's with your ramblings. Do things right, and quit making a scene.
