Behavior disappoints Purdue alumnaI am very saddened and at the same time embarrassed to read about the student uproar over the women's basketball loss to Notre Dame. What kind of adult behavior is that for a college student? The student quotes in the article definitely show the levels of maturity. As a Purdue alumna, it's sad to see a school's good name tarnished in the media because students don't know how to handle disappointment. I always thought Purdue students were above that kind of behavior. Destroying other people's property doesn't solve anything and it's a crime. It doesn't change the outcome of the game. I can only hope that these students learn how to handle their emotions before entering the real world. Sandra L. Montgomery |
