Tennis team falls
on road
With ideal conditions for tennis, the Purdue men's
tennis team fell 4-3 to Wisconsin on Sunday in Madison, Wis.
"The weather here was great and the opportunity
to play great tennis was there," Purdue coach Tim Madden said. "We just
came up short."
The doubles point was the difference, as Purdue
failed in two of the three doubles matches. The Boilers had won 14 consecutive
doubles points before last week's loss to Illinois.
In singles action Scott Mayer, Andrew Wakefield
and Derek Miller came up with wins for the Boilers.
