Boilermakers hope for win

Purdue's women's tennis team travels to South Bend,
Ind., to face Notre Dame's Fighting Irish this afternoon.
Purdue (3-12, 0-4 Big Ten) will look to knock off
the seventh ranked Irish (19-4, 3-0 Big East).
Notre Dame is on a four-match winning streak and
the Irish are winners of nine of their last 10 competitions. The Irish
feature Michelle Dasso, who is ranked fourth in the nation for singles
according to the ITA college rankings. Dasso and teammate Becky Varnum
pair up to form the nation's fifth-ranked doubles team.
Purdue is on a six-game losing streak. Purdue last
tasted victory on March 3 in a 5-2 win over Southern Methodist University.
The Boilers' most recent losses were a 4-3 failure against Minnesota
Sunday and a 5-2 loss to Wisconsin Saturday. Both matches were at home.
