Police reduce online photos
to six
According to the Purdue Police Web site on Thursday,
the number of total suspects' photos online has been reduced to six.
According to the Web site, the police have removed
the majority of the photos in an effort to "focus more attention on
identifying those individuals responsible for a significant portion
of the damage."
The note explains that police have already identified
several individuals previously listed on the site although the investigation
to determine levels of participation continues.
According to the posting, "together, we have positively
identified and charged nine individuals and expect charges to be filed
on at least nine more."
The site will continue to display remaining photographs
of individuals police still hope to identify and interview.
Previously, police had identified up to 160 individuals
in more than 100 photos. The police Web site address is www.police.purdue.edu.
