Purdue polo team to host matches

The Purdue polo team will be hosting Michigan State in two matches this weekend.

Tonight's match starts at 7; Saturday's match starts at 10 a.m. Both matches will take place at the Kingswood Equestrian Center.

Kingswood Equestrian Center is located on Kingswood Road North, approximately 5 miles from the Purdue campus on State Road 26 in West Lafayette.

Friday's match will be the third match ever held at Purdue, said publicity chairperson Sarah Eaton, as most matches are away.

There will be approximately 10 people from Purdue participating, said Eaton. However, both Friday's and Saturday's matches are exhibitions rather than competitions.

For directions to Kingswood Equestrian Center or more information about the club, you can check out the team's Web page at http://purduepolo.homestead.com.

The club has 20 members and cares for 13 ponies. They can be e-mailed at purduepolo@hotmail.com.
