PSG must value students’ opinions

I am not a student, but would like to comment on the handling of the PSG referendum question. It's important to us all for the lesson it teaches.

When I attended college, my government professor told us that not voting signaled a failure of democracy. Obviously the student senators who advised the student body to boycott the recent referendum aren't aware of this. If they are, they gave the worst civics lesson imaginable.

The senators then invalidated the referendum and threw it out, showing that they don't care for the students' opinions if they conflict with their own. Had they agreed with the referendum, it would stand today.

Ergo, they are obviously are an anti-democratic organization intent on holding onto their power via the current PSG structure.

The student body deserves better representation. As in ‘any.’
