From Staff Reports

The Purdue and West Lafayette police arrested 12 people Friday in relation to the April 1 disturbance following the women's NCAA championship basketball game.

These arrests are in addition to the five students and two non-students who were previously arrested, and follow the expulsion of six students and suspension of two.

According to a release, the following is a list of people who were arrested and the charges they were arrested for:

  • Sean B. Williams, 255 Cary Quadrangle SW, a sophomore in the Schools of Engineering, for criminal mischief.

Ronald Fosnaugh, the captain of special services for Purdue police, said there are 14 warrants out and more people will probably be arrested. "There's a possibility that there will be some additional arrests as additional information is reviewed by the prosecutor's office," said Fosnaugh.

He said the investigation is ongoing even though time is somewhat restricted since the semester is almost over. He said the warrants out are good for several months. "(There) may be a situation where a person may come back to school and face charges," said Fosnaugh.
