Nelly concert fails to impress studentIt is to my understanding, although I did not attend the Nelly "music" concert this past Thursday, that the show was actually not that impressive. With four unknown opening acts, I'm sure the audience was ready to hear music they actually did know. Then Nelly comes out, does four to five songs, and then doesn't come out for an encore? I don't think I've ever been to a concert where there wasn't an encore, even bad concerts. I mean, it's not like he was standing up there getting blisters from playing a guitar and losing his voice from singing for two hours straight. And how much did these students pay? I believe somewhere around $30, correct? Meanwhile, I was enjoying myself at the Darrell Hammond comedy show in Loeb Playhouse. I was very happy with the way Darrell presented his show and how he interacted with the audience. How much did this cost me? $5. I guess what bothers me the most is that while I usually like the reviews done by the Exponent staff, this review was way far off from what I have heard. Also, no way was this concert better than the Third Eye Blind or Smashing Pumpkins concerts. I know for a fact that the audience wasn't "sitting" through those concerts.
