Radio stations should not changeI am tired of hearing about all the format changes in local radio, primarily for the Artistic Media Partners stations. I am a 36-year-old professional woman capable of making intelligent decisions when it comes to what I, and my family, listen to. Bob Ford's remarks regarding music changes for WAZY and WGBD sounded ridiculous. How can he be so out of touch with the community? He doesn't even know what his described "target listeners" want. We've heard three different types of music on WAZY-FM in the past eight months. "The Rocket" is on its third type of format in less than four years and now has also changed call letters. Even the weak WAZY-FMM has changed its programs three times since 1998. When does the carousel stop? The management at Artistic Media Partners needs to pay attention to what listeners want and that is "consistency." I prefer local stations such as WGLM or WASK/WKOA that provide good, stable, local personalities and good music for adults. Maybe Artistic Media Partners could learn something from these companies instead of hooking up another satellite dish and insulting their listeners with more changes and poor decisions.
