Radio station makes good changeI'm glad that the Rocket 95.7 changed its format. All of this new music coming out is so unoriginal. I can't tell the difference between any of these new bands. From a musician's standpoint, I think they lack creativity and talent. I was pretty pumped when I turned on the Rocket the other day and heard a Bob Seger song. Now thats rock 'n' roll. And the songwriting nowadays? Geez. Catchy, maybe. Average useful life: two weeks. I damn near soil my pants when people say, who's Led Zeppelin or, who's Foghat? What people don't realize is that this new music wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the classic rock bands from the 60s and 70s. Maybe the Rocket's "stunt" is right. Is it the end of the music world as we know it? Tom Manno Junior, School of Sciences |
