Fountain committee should think againI think it is funny, when I read about the fountain of Purdue. In all of the light hearted jokes and the talks of putting up barricades, metal railings, capping them off, I can only think about one thing. I remember at Purdue, walking by the fountain, on my way to class. It meant something to me to be able to see people, sitting around the fountain talking, or reading books, etc. In Webster Texas, we have several fountains here as well. Children play in the fountains all of the time. It makes me upset to think that the University is trying to take the privilege away from the students at Purdue. I would only hope, that the fountain committee thinks twice about what they decide to do, and then think about it again. Andy Wilson |
