Purdue rejects settlement in play injunction case

An evidentiary hearing for the injunction sought against the production of a play on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne is scheduled for Tuesday.

The injunction seeks to stop production of the play "Corpus Christi," which combines religious and homosexual themes, from being staged with public funds.

Investigators are continuing to search for the cause of a plane crash outside West Lafayette that killed a Fairland, Ind., man.

Charles Glackman, 31, died Wednesday morning when his single-engine Piper Cherokee 180 crashed north of U.S. 52 and west of Morehouse Road in a field near Hadley Lake, west of the Lake Shore subdivision construction site.

Recreational Sports Center to undergo renovations, upgrades

Ming Wang, a sophomore in the School of Management, works out in one of the weight-training rooms at the basement of the Recreational Sports Center. The basement of the sports center will undergo a $5 million renovation.

The Recreational Sports Center will undergo a $5 million renovation process to upgrade its basement's weight-training rooms.

The renovation, which is in the plan design and development phase, will include the reconstruction of the current weight-training rooms and the replacement of the handball and racquetball courts for more weight-training and cardiovascular space.
