Focus on road rage fails to explain motiveThere is only one legal reason to kill another person...self-defense. Why have all the letters and editorials regarding the Purdue Village murders jumped on the alleged murderer's claim of "road rage"? The local papers, the Journal and Courier, and the Purdue Exponent, have printed editorials and letters regarding this subject...ROAD RAGE MURDERS. It may grab the reader's attention, but has nothing to do with the facts of this crime as reported in these same newspapers. What about the proof that the alleged murderer accessed the victims' classroom computer soon after the killings? Why isn't this aspect of the crime being addressed? Certainly, if you were the murderer, in a "heat of passion" or "road rage" type of killing, you would not have the presence of mind and forethought to rummage through the victim's purse to find a computer password and log onto her computer soon after the murders. There is more to this story than is being reported. Obviously, more than the "road rage" theory. John Beck Lafayette Resident |
