President Martin Jischke will speak on Purdue's live call-in radio show on WBAA's "920 magazine" today from 2 to 3 p.m.
Jischke will speak about Purdue's student enrollment process. This includes enrollment goals, how the University selects students, how it markets itself to prospective students and what policies have changed regarding enrollment.
According to a news release, Jischke will also talk about how international students are accepted on campus and in the community, how academic standards can be raised for incoming students, how diversity and scholarship opportunities can be increased and how class size can be reduced.
Listeners are encouraged to call the radio show and ask Jischke questions. Those interested can call 496-1999 or 866-922-2101.
This show is the first of a monthly series of shows Jischke will partake in for the academic year. Jischke speaks on WBAA on the first Wednesday of every month.
Future shows include the University's strategic planning process on Oct. 3, student life on Nov. 7, Boilermaker athletics on Dec. 5, the Purdue Research Park on Feb. 6 and research funding on March 6.
