Soccer team beats Oregon
State, 2-0

CORVALLIS, Ore. The Purdue womens
soccer team defeated Oregon State 2-0 Friday night on goals from Elise
Berry and Courtney Coppedge.
The Boilermakers (2-1) and Beavers (2-1) played
for more than 70 minutes before the first score. At 71:20, Berry found
an opening behind the Oregon State goalkeeper off a corner kick from
freshman forward Lauren Sesselmann. Berry got her first goal of the
year on a header, while Sesselmann gathered her second assist. Coppedge
scored in the 80th minute from approximately 15 yards out.
Senior goalie Elizabeth Boldt played all 90 minutes
and had seven saves.
As of Sunday evening, the results of the Boilers'
Sunday afternoon game at Portland State were not known.
