By Purdue Sports Information

CORVALLIS, Ore. — The Purdue women’s soccer team defeated Oregon State 2-0 Friday night on goals from Elise Berry and Courtney Coppedge.

The Boilermakers (2-1) and Beavers (2-1) played for more than 70 minutes before the first score. At 71:20, Berry found an opening behind the Oregon State goalkeeper off a corner kick from freshman forward Lauren Sesselmann. Berry got her first goal of the year on a header, while Sesselmann gathered her second assist. Coppedge scored in the 80th minute from approximately 15 yards out.

Senior goalie Elizabeth Boldt played all 90 minutes and had seven saves.

As of Sunday evening, the results of the Boilers' Sunday afternoon game at Portland State were not known.
