Cancellations should follow tragedy

I am writing this letter in regards to this terrorism attack (Tuesday). The United States faced the greatest catastrophe in it's history. It was a day never to be forgotten. Everyone who was anywhere was talking about the news all day. Yet through all of this mass chaos, our University still held scheduled tests that night and for the following day. I cannot even imagine how anyone could possibly study for a test with all of this going on. I too had a test the next day and was not able to concentrate on studying, yet my professor did not postpone the test. Is it asking too much to please let us concentrate on what is going on in our nation, rather than being forced to study for a test that has no significant impact on our future lives as this tragedy has?
