Generalizing Muslims disappoints studentWith all the chaos going on, I reckon this letter is really called for. Apparently Osama bin Laden is seen as the 'leader of the Muslim world' which, in reality, is as far from the facts as it gets. Islam emphasizes on any and all measures against violence, so generalizations about Muslims is enough to drive anyone up the wall, especially since its based on a nutcase like bin Laden. According to my American roommate, she wouldn't want to talk to me if she hadn't known me, (especially after yesterday's incident) but luckily that wasn't the case with the rest of my friends, who are all Americans themselves. I went to a high school with 86 different nationalities, and after an amazing experience like that, it'd be a huge disappointment to see bigotry of this sort on the Purdue campus.
