Opinions

Citizens must support country, independence

It is every American's right to express his or her opinion. This is a freedom that all Americans cherish as one the most important. However, the terrorists, whoever they may be, have set an attack on all of the freedoms that we love.

I would like to say to the individuals who were rallying against a possible war, that American citizens have died, and these terrorists probably would like to do nothing better than to see our obliteration. It is our duty as Americans to protect our future children and their children from a life of bomb shelters, gas masks and fear. I would not like to raise my children as such and I support our government in its actions.

May God bless our president, our military leaders and our government with the wisdom to make choices for our country that are both ethical and appropriate.
