War will protect our way of life

I have one question for the people who are against going to war over the events of Sept. 11. What are you thinking?

Now that I got that out of my system, let's carefully examine the situation we find ourselves in as a result of this attack. First, the stated goal of these terrorist organizations is nothing less than to bring down western society/civilization.

In short, they wish to destroy our businesses, our homes, our families and our cherished traditions of freedom and democracy. They are like rabid dogs, and they will not stop. They will continue to attack us until they have eliminated life as we know it, or until they themselves no longer exist. That said, we really only have two possible courses of action. Option 1: We can stand by and watch like a bunch of impotent morons while terrorist attacks continue to claim American lives. Option 2: We can aggressively attack and annihilate the terrorist threat — including all who support them and all who stand in the way.

Innocent people will die. That happens in war. It is sad, but there is no other choice. If the killing of 5,000+ Americans on American soil does not justify a war, then nothing ever can. So, in closing, I have three things to say: To our allies and friends, thank you for your concern and support. To our foes, you have made a grave mistake. You now face extermination at the hands of the most powerful nation on the face of the earth. To you, my fellow Americans, let us stand together, because, if we are united, we can cleanse the world of this evil, and we will show our enemies that though they may level our tallest buildings, the American Spirit will never be broken.
