Cyclist’s letter shows disregard, stupidity

This letter is in response to the tacky and pathetic plea of safety for cyclists on campus. Or should we say safety for the cyclist that wrote the letter on Oct. 5. It's obvious that she is unaware of the relationships between cyclists and pedestrians, she is just blowing off steam because somebody didn't see her coming and made her fall down and get her pants dirty. Now on to her list of "incredibly simple list of things to do in order to walk safely among cyclists." Watch where you're going so you don't get hit by a bike going too fast to stop to save you from your own stupidity". Oh, I get that one. It's my fault if I can't jump out of the way of a mountain bike doing 40 mph across campus, that makes sense now.

This tip was my favorite one. Tip #4: Don't take up the whole sidewalk, this just makes us want to hit you.

Well, I only weigh 157lbs, it's kind of hard to take up 13 feet of walking space, and to openly admit that you’re willing and able to commit assault with your weapon on wheels and then sign your name to the letter is pretty bright too. My hat goes off to the Exponent for even allowing this kind of junk to waste the ink on their printing press.
