| Frivolous lawsuits waste tax dollars I agree with Matt Poston's thoughts about absurd claims made in court. I found the article about the Pennsylvania man trying to sue God, all Americans, etc. while looking through a Chicago Tribune way back in my freshman year of high school. I clipped the article and have kept it in my wallet to this day as a reminder of how idiotic (and funny) people can be. Foolish lawsuits not only waste the time of anyone involved with the "case" but also our precious tax dollars. I also agree with the second "solution" presented. This solution being that the plaintiff in all cases (including serious ones, which unfortunately would be difficult to separate from absurd ones) who lost their suit would be forced to pay all costs associated with the suit. Maybe this would not only keep greedy people from wasting valuable resources, but also force some people to actually take responsibility for their actions (or lack thereof).
