"You go girl!" is probably still stamped in heavy black ink on the hands of those who attended Saturday night’s Drag Show and Fall Dance.

The evening was a comedic and fun-filled evening for all who witnessed the event hosted by the LesBiGay Network and Delta Lambda Phi.

It was a parade of the lovely and talented drag queens from Akron, Ohio. About 130 people attended the event.

"It was funny," said Stephanie Vahle, a sophomore in the School of Consumer and Family Sciences. "I thought it was really good."

Many of the drag queens lip-synched songs and paraded about in their sequined outfits and outrageously large coifs.

"Some of them looked better than I thought they would," said Monica Miller, a sophomore in the School of Science.

The performances varied greatly — one drag queen impersonated Britney Spears from a Pepsi commercial and another did a rendition of "Hey Mickey" by Toni Basil.

There was no limit to the outrageous acts that occurred onstage. Drag queen Samantha Styles convinced several young gentlemen to partially disrobe in front of the crowd and left lipstick marks all over another young man’s head.

No one was particularly shy regarding sex — every aspect of the deed was woven into every act and word of each drag queen and those in the audience.

"We went to broaden our horizons a little bit — and it definitely did," said Miller of her and her friend.
