Beach Boys create 'greatest album'

First of all, I'm glad to see that at least a couple of people are recognizing the lameness of Dave Matthews.

Now, on to the matter at hand. Megadeth's "Countdown to Extinction" as the best album ever? Megadeth is cool if you like to burn grasshoppers with a magnifying glass, huff gas behind your garage and feel up 15-year-olds.

Anyone who has done one ounce of music history research knows that the Beach Boys' "Pet Sounds" is the greatest album of all time. Brian Wilson forever changed music. He changed the way a studio was used. He wrote the first concept album with "Pet Sounds." "Pet Sounds" was also the inspiration for The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper." Everything the Beatles did, the Beach Boys did it first. Couple Brian Wilson's song writing ability with the Beach Boys' jaw-dropping vocal ability and it's easy to see why "Pet Sounds" is the greatest album of all time. It's impossible to sing all of "Pet Sounds" praises in under 300 words, but I'll leave you with this Paul McCartney quote: "I've just bought my kids each a copy of it [Pet Sounds] for their education in life — I figure no one is educated musically 'til they've heard that album."
