Fans can still buy Homecoming
tickets

Approximately 3,000 tickets remain for the Purdue
football team's Homecoming game with Northwestern Saturday.
Although the 24th-ranked Boilers (4-1, 2-1 Big
Ten) haven't played in front of a sellout crowd this season, ticket
manager George Ade said Purdue is "right on schedule" to sell tickets
for all 67,332 seats in Ross-Ade Stadium.
"We could sell that easily by Saturday," Ade said.
"If fans are thinking about getting to the game, they ought to get their
tickets quick."
Most of the remaining tickets are in the south
end zone, where the visiting fans traditionally sit. The Purdue ticket
office gave Northwestern just 1,400 tickets, and all of those have been
sold.
Northwestern (4-2, 2-2) is coming off a 38-35 loss
to previously winless Penn State Saturday. Purdue is coming off a 24-10
loss to Michigan Oct. 13. The Boilers, who beat Northwestern 41-28 in
the Wildcats' 2000 Homecoming Oct. 14, 2000, had last weekend off.
At Purdue's last home game, a 23-14 win over Iowa
Oct. 6, there were 58,888 fans in attendance.
Tickets for the Dec. 1 Notre Dame game are sold
out but there are plenty of tickets left for Purdue's other remaining
home games.
Approximately 7,000 tickets remain for Purdue's
game with Illinois Nov. 3, and more than 12,000 are still available
for Purdue's game with Michigan State Nov. 17.
The start time for Purdue's game with Illinois
is still yet to be determined, although game times are usually determined
at least two weeks before the game.
On Monday, the Big Ten announced that ABC is debating
whether to televise the Purdue-Illinois game or the Michigan-Michigan
State game at 3:30 p.m. that day. The game that ABC doesn't pick up
will be televised at 12:10 p.m.
The decision could be made as late as next Monday.
