Donation to aid pharmacy school

Students in the School of Pharmacy will soon have an opportunity few of their peers have.

In fact, by attending Purdue, these students will be exposed to resources only four other education institutions in the country have access to — a drug manufacturing facility.

Thanks to a $5 million gift from Allen Chao and his wife Lee, both Purdue alumni, the University will build an industrial pharmacy center in the Purdue Research Park. The gift, which was announced Wednesday as part of the University's Discover Purdue Week, will create a facility centered on education, research and drug manufacturing.

Attorneys to meet to discuss murders on Purdue campus

The county prosecutor and the attorney for the Purdue graduate student charged with allegedly murdering two Korean sisters on campus will meet Friday morning to discuss the murder case.

Jerry Bean, county prosecutor, and Steven Meyer, lead defense counsel for the student, will meet at 9 a.m. in the Auxiliary Courtroom in the Tippecanoe County Courthouse for the second status conference of the case. Neither Bean nor Meyer could be reached for comment Wednesday.

Professor uses enthusiasm to relay knowledge to students

Jon Teaford spoke animatedly about his past students Tuesday night as he sat in Stewart Center waiting for members of Phi Alpha Theta, a history fraternity, to arrive to set up their semi-annual book sale.
