From Staff Reports

Two West Lafayette Community School buses collided shortly after leaving the parking lot of Happy Hollow Elementary School, 1200 N. Salisbury St., Tuesday afternoon.

According to Lt. Jason Dombkowski of the West Lafayette Police Department, one bus rear-ended another bus near the intersection of Rockland Drive and Salisbury Street.

The crash, which occurred around 2:45 p.m., damaged the front passenger side of bus No. 9501 and the rear end of bus No. 9901.

Dombkowski said 11 Happy Hollow Elementary School students and at least one of the bus drivers were treated for minor injuries at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. There were 61 students on the two buses.
