Response to terrorism should apply worldwideSadly, whenever I read or hear any international news, it always seems to tell of some Palestinian suicide bomber that has struck in Israel. Whether this bomber was standing outside of a nightclub or waiting at a bus station, Israels response is usually the same: quick and decisive retribution. Recently, the United State's condemnation of Israels actions has grown louder, and Bushs promise for the creation of a Palestinian State has gotten more attention as well. Where is the sense in this? Are we handing over half of New York City and other states along the eastern seaboard to the Taliban to stop the terror attacks? No. Then why should Israel give up half of its capital city and other land to the Palestinians? The United States is bravely fighting back with the ferocity and intensity that the attacks upon our great country warrant. Israel faces terror attacks almost daily, and has dealt with them in a similar way that the United States is dealing with the Taliban. I support the United States in our war on terrorism, and I ask that the United States supports the fight against terrorism worldwide, rather than criticizing Israels response to terror attacks that parallels ours.
