Yahoo! Sports recognizes senior guard Chris Kramer and junior guard E’Twaun Moore.
Kramer was named the organization’s Defensive Player of the Year, while Moore was named to the third-team All-American.
Kramer is fifth in the Big Ten with an average of 1.7 steals per game. He also is averaging 0.4 shots per game from the guard position. Kramer is ranked second for Division I athletes in multi-steal games. He has 76 for his career. Kramer is the Purdue record holder in steals with 265, that mark places him third in the nation in steals.
Moore is averaging 16.7 points per game, 3.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Moore leads Purdue in both scoring and assists; if he finishes the season leading those two categories he will be the third player since 1971 to lead the Boilermakers in both categories. Moore needs 53 more points to tie for the 25th-best single-season scoring output in program history. Moore is also ranked 18th on Purdue’s career scoring list with 1,449 points and 17th on the all time list for Purdue in assists with 285. Moore is also the eighth Purdue player to earn the award since 1972, and the first since 2001.
