Sophomore wide receiver Selwyn Lymon was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement with a vehicle.
Lymon was arrested by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department at 5:15 a.m. Sunday at 243 Malibu Drive, West Lafayette, according to a correctional officer at the Tippecanoe County Jail.
According to Tom Schott, assistant athletics director, coach Joe Tiller was aware of the arrest but will likely address it Monday.
Lymon remains incarcerated and is being held on $5,000 bond.
The arrest comes less than 24 hours after Purdue's 27-24 loss to in-state rival Indiana.
Lymon, along with senior linebacker Stanford Keglar, was supposed to appear in Tippecanoe Superior Court VI Thursday morning, but the jury trial was pushed back due to backlog.
In that case, all of the charges the two players face are misdemeanors and they stem from a March 30 incident outside Nick's Nightclub, located on the Levee.
Lymon is charged with operating while intoxicated, operating with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher, battery, disorderly conduct, false informing and minor in possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol.
Keglar is charged with battery, false informing and disorderly conduct.
