The Exponent Educational Endowment
The Exponent Educational Endowment was established in 2008 to enhance the educational opportunities of the student staff.
Several years of setting aside seed money predated the establishment of the endowment. A full year was devoted to conceptual planning.
To improve the educational experience of Exponent student newsroom and advertising staff members, the EEE board of directors will focus on providing scholarships, attracting professionals-in-residence, sponsoring campuswide speakers and offering other educational opportunities.
An initial board, which we hope will grow in the coming years, was established in 2008. Our intent is to have highly successful Exponent alumni sit on the board to decide how to best assist the mission of the Exponent. This will include overseeing the endowments budget, identifying key alumni to support the efforts through participating on the board or financially supporting the mission and developing strategic plans.
The EEE board will have various committees on which alumni can assist the mission without having to attend regularly scheduled meetings.
