Voting for Homecoming King and Queen begins today

With Homecoming activities starting next week, the voting for the 2012 King and Queen begins today.

Seven men and seven women who began the application process last semester, represent this year's Homecoming court. Students either applied themselves or were nominated by a faculty member. After submitting their resumé as well as an essay, they were selected by a panel of judges.

Winners will be chosen based on the number of votes they receive as well as an interview with a panel.

Students can vote at http://getinvolved.purdue.edu/ starting at 8 a.m. today. Voting will end Oct. 11 at midnight. Check out the candidates' profiles including campus activities and a picture at http://www.union.purdue.edu/PSUB/events/SpecialEvents/homecoming.html
